Folks we must understand that the game of soccer has come of age and it is no more a one sided affair. For I was very happy to see an all Ghananian continental cup final.Ghana had emulated the North African teams who has dominated the clubs championships for more that two decades.Whether Kotoko lost to Hearts or not,I must support one team and the team is Asante Kotoko. Support base of some of the world class teams eg. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Barcelona, Man Utd, Arsenals, Inter Milan still remains the same despite such painful losses. In as much as we wish our beloved teams well, we must also maintain the competitive spirit and accept any outcomes of such matches. In any game there must be a winner and Kotoko cannot have it all. For me Kudos to Hearts for winning and kudos also for Kotoko for making it to the finals. So what next..........?

I was sad for Kotoko to fire the coach just for loosing the cup final. Most would not understand his strategy but his plan was to pack the midfield after the 65th minutes when they were leading by one in the Accra game. I bet you guys, it worked well except that the players lost their head in anticipation of the final blast of the whistle. That was very stupid on the part of the players.  For once the coach came off his seat to shout on the players. My dear commentator Kwabena Yeboah mentioned this and behold it happened. Stephen Oduro was another stupid guy for deliberately using his hand on the ball, the restart resulted with the equalizer. Such lack of concentration is a cancker to Ghana football and has robbed the national teams of vital glory as well.

Individually, the players are the best pack in the country right now and will go places.I congratulate them and better luck next time. The most annoying thing is loosing to our arc rivals and at the red painted Kumasi Stadium.

The attitude of hiring and firing coaches must stop. I can count as many as seven coaches at Oseikron over the span of five years. This is not good for the game..same can be said of the black stars. This is the main reason why Ghanaian clubs and the Black Stars have been lying in the background for over two decades. While white coaches are very fair and objective and would like to play constructive game their black counterparts play the "favouritism cards" which is very bad. So imagine within five years a club has employed the services of seven coaches which is a mix of blacks and whites, what at all do expect to achieve. Absolutely nothing!!This is what Ernest Midendorf, Ziva, Baretto and the likes could not stand.

Meanwhile it is a waste of money even though I don't know the contractual terms, to invoke the samba flavour in to Oseikrom. There are equally good players who can stand the test than these brazilians who have much respect for the Ghanaian flavour.

Now the question is who is who in Ghana soccer? Kotoko has won two cups which is now graded as the champions league and Hearts One champions league tittle, a "super cup" and the lesser graded CAF cup. Comparatively, I cannot say hearts because they have a champions league title and CAF cup title. The super cup adds a plus to hearts CAF title to equate the the two titles Kotoko already has. To conclude they are now at par and the team that wins another title will be the better club in Ghana.

Long live Kotoko...Long live Ghana Soccer!!
